S2000.Life: a video documentary

This video grew from my desire to share some of the 'odds and ends' video clips that I've collected over the years. However, as we got deeper into the project, a new focus emerged. It is true that the car is unique, but it is the owners and their friendships that make the S2000 so special.

Watch the video after the break: S2000.Life

Production Notes:
The primary video was shot with my trusty Sony HC-85 and the "B Roll" was filmed with Kents brand new Canon HV-20 in standard definition. The difference between the two was dramatic! The Canon was shaper with better color and depth of field. However, since it was brand spankin' new out of the box only hours before and since we didn't have headphones adapted to that camera, I didn't want to take a chance and went with my camera for the primary footage. It does underscore the need for a new camera for me though.

The hardest part of the whole video was the sunset ending sceen. This required two days of painstaking masking to combine the fast moving sky with my real time image.

Finally, all the autocross footage (including the spin) is me driving Stephen's car. I didn't have Stephens in-car video available when I was finishing up my edit.

Special thanks go to the others who contributed photos and video clips that helped to make up this film.
